not sure I remember the last time I had to audition 120-plus songs in one week … I think this is the first time it has happened this year (though I confess it’s not something I track too precisely) … so a busier than usual week, for sure … some of it was pretty good, but nothing reached grandpa’s promised land

I need to say that a significant percentage of the music I listen to every week comes from bandcamp, and I stand with the employees … 100% of them, not 50% of them … at this point in the acquisition, songtradr also does not even seem to care about supporting the bandcamp revenue stream, namely their artist/label clients … I spent decades in the corporate world … I know you need to make money … but please fix this, songtradr

anyway, even though new releases and pre-releases kept me busy, I still had time to rediscover this beauty, from my youth … so good

sidney powell IS guilty … she didn’t just PLEAD guilty … #AwfulHuman

carpool tunnel had a new album out too in the last few days … it wasn’t/isn’t on my list … I’m only mentioning it because maybe it’s on yours

the moonraker/neckscars split isn’t/wasn’t on my list either, but it’s closer

I’ll give you one more … it also didn’t land in my LZ, but I think you have to like this … interlaker

I know I told you that jim jordan would eventually make it over the speaker finish line, but it’s now looking probable that he may not … speaker or not, he will always deserve the hashtag #AwfulHuman

I find myself wanting to diss the blinksters (still slightly unhappy about matt’s treatment towards the end of skiba-era blink), by saying something about knuckle puck (or even bat boy or boys like girls) having put out the best power pop/pop punk album of the week … I will resist that temptation, though, cos I’m better than that (or, possibly, because some of the blink thing is actually pretty good)

the oddest blink news this week, though, is NOT me not dissing them … it’s that pierce the veil will be their primary tour support next year … listen, I wasn’t going anyway and, if anything, these lovelies will improve the evening, but it’s genuinely confusing … #VeryStrangeAlso … love this
