it’s not out until aug-6th but, if re-imaginings are your thing (and, based on this version of call me on the way home, you should be … better than the original, for me) then you need to be aware of this

alkaline trio; hot for preacher; chicago melodic punk … still at the top of the heap and still on top of their game

shoreline; don’t feed; this one’s an indie/melodic punker, and it’s fucking awesome
bayside; the devils; yes, it sounds kinda theatrical, kinda rock operatic, but it’s still terrific melodic punk

ultrabomb; dying to smile; indie/melodic punk … terrific listen … this is never better
red vanilla; days of grey; sometimes punk-ish, scott-ish, atmospher-ish (fuck off) pop rock … oh, give it a shot … whaddya have to lose … you didn’t think you’d like anal either, and look at you now … here’s outside in
hotlung; in spite of; post-punk-ish melodic punk awesomeness … as some of you know (and as hotlung does not care), there is no chance of me listening to a 5-minute song, let alone a 7-minute song, so I have literally no idea what to tell you about those two songs, but the rest is an awesome listen … this is golden son

did see heart attack man a few days ago … did not stick around for microwave (also didn’t catch any of the other supporting acts … sorry) … I was there for heart attack man, and heart attack man was completely fucking awesome live … and the fact that I got to hang at the show with one of my kids was the icing on the cake
